Celebrating World Refugee Day

June 20 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Join us at Michael Birawer Gallery in celebration of World Refugee Day with a one night only art exhibition featuring works from refugees of The Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Southwest Uganda, home to over 45,000 refugees. All of the artists in the exhibition are from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

100% of all funds generated by Refugee Art go to the artists creating the paintings or to non-profit organizations working to improve the lives of refugees. Those non-profits include local NGOs focused on art and children, international NGOs working with refugees throughout the world and US and EU-based non-profits promoting refugee issues.

We will be hosting three events on June 20th; one here in Seattle, one in Minneapolis, MN at the other Michael Birawer Gallery, and one event in Uganda at the The Nakivale Refugee Settlement. We hope you will join us in celebration of these incredible artists!
