The Royal Nordic Opera Singers, from the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen, will again perform at the Nordic Heritage Museum. The Royal Nordic Opera Singers is a group of professional opera singers, mostly from the Royal Danish Opera. Their program comprises classical music from the world of Opera, Operetta, Broadway musicals and Danish, Swedish and Icelandic folk songs.
The Royal Nordic Opera Singers first visited in 2008 as “The Royal Nordic Tenors” then again in 2010. Their light-hearted, sometimes humorous renditions of songs from familiar Broadway musicals, traditional Nordic songs and operatic arias were well received by a visibly charmed crowd. The Seattle PI wrote, “There were moments when they nearly lifted the roof in a delightful concert before a full house.”
The ensemble has been touring since 1997 and travels internationally playing in U.S. cities as well as Dubai, Beijing and all over Europe.
