Hack the House: A Smart Home Challenge!

$12 – $30

Architecture and engineering collide in this special Internet of Things workshop designed for middle school students. Over 2 hours, students work together in teams to design, test, and code a miniature Smart Home for a variety of clients, each with their own set of needs and desires. Using predictive sensors, circuits, and a bit of block-based coding, learn what it takes to completely automate a home to predict and answer your every need. Space is limited to 16 participants. Students could benefit from a basic understanding of algebra.
