The 2019 Diwa Filipino Film Festival

June 1 @ 12:00 pm - June 2 @ 6:00 pm

Free

“Diwa” means Spirit in Tagalog, and the Diwa Filipino Film Festival is a small community film festival that celebrates the Filipino Spirit wherever it resides. This year, we are showcasing even more films by and about Filipinos all over the world. Find out what it means to be Moro (Muslim from the southern island of Mindanao) and also LGBTQI. Learn about the plight of Filipino truck drivers transporting goods across the European Union. And witness how family ties and spiritual connections are made and maintained across borders.

Diwa is made in cooperation with the annual Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival. Catch us at the Seattle Center Armory Loft 1. ADMISSION IS FREE!!!
