Come support local youth art and expression around the topic of immigration. This youth-led show runs through the month of June and features artist Abraham Tesfelasie, a recent immigrant to Seattle and winner of our District’s Congressional Art Competition for his self portrait.
There will be free food and raffle prizes! Donations are highly appreciated and will benefit Abraham
as he seeks to raise $10,000 for upcoming dental procedures.
CAIR-WA’s annual banquets and awards celebrations have been described by attendees as a community celebration where one gets to truly observe the diversity and the spirit of the Washington State Muslim community!
Each year’s event is attended by over 600 local community members, features an elaborate awards ceremony where we recognize those working hard to build and advance our communities. We celebrate recent Muslim civil rights and political victories, discuss the challenges ahead, unveil ambitious goals, and embrace a promising future.
Our 2013 Annual Banquet and Awards Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, 5pm-8pm, at the Bellevue Hilton. More
