Feds set 2018 deadline for REAL ID at airport security

Proof of citizenship or U.S. residency isn't required for a standard Washington driver's license. The airport security rules will be enforced in 2018.

Feds say WA drivers licenses won’t be good enough for airport security

U.S. residency or citizenship isn't required for standard Washington drivers licenses, meaning they soon won't be accepted at airports or federal buildings.
