Powerful photos from Seattle Ferguson protests

It’s been almost two weeks since a Missouri grand jury decided not to indict the cop who shot Mike Brown. Crowds of angry, frightened, frustrated people took to the streets here in Seattle in response to the decision.

There have been new protest actions almost every day since, criss-crossing the UW campus, disrupting holiday shopping, and slowing traffic.

Many Seattleites have been quick to dismiss their message or disparage their tactics, but young Ferguson protesters refuse to go home.

Filmmaker and Seattle Central College student Jama Abdirahman has been photographing the protests since they started last Monday and shared these shots with us (click to enlarge):
