Shaun Sik from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia first landed in United States in 2015 in Los Angeles, where he and his family had a conversation with a waiter that changed his impression of people in the United States.

People in the U.S. “really take the time to find out as much as they can within the shortest amount of time that they can,” he says.

Sik now lives in Seattle.
