Lunch and Learn: Higher Education

 September 18, 2019

12 pm – 1:30 pm

Bethaday Community Learning Space

605 SW 108th St Seattle, WA 98146

The Racial Equity Team, Equity in Education Coalition and The Coalition of Immigrants, Refugees, and Communities of Color have organized monthly Lunch and Learns on topics that disproportionately impact children and families of color. This month we will be discussing Higher Education:  the state of Higher Ed in our state, Access for Low-income students and students of color and Adversity students of color face in our higher Ed system.

This is an opportunity for community members from different fields and communities to come together to talk about a topic that affects so many of us. We hope you can join us and input/grow your knowledge on this controversial topic.

Our Panelist:

Rep. Drew Hansen, Chair of Higher Ed Committee

Rachelle Sharpe, Deputy Director of the Washington Student Achievement Council

Danika Martinez, Program Director, Seattle Education Access

Ha Nguyen, Policy Associate/Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, SBCTC

Bring a friend, coworker, family member or even a stranger! This event is open to all, and we encourage you to attend!
