International Women’s Day: Indigenous and Women of Color Rise

Mar 8, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Featuring the powerful voices of Dominique Christina, the author of four books and the only person to EVER become a two-time world champion in slam poetry, and Cherry Smiley, warrior hero, feminist activist, scholar, and artist from the Nlaka’pamux (Thompson) and Dine (Navajo) nations.

The evening program will inform, educate, empower, inspire, and strengthen our spirit for the injustices we face: male violence, objectification, sexual exploitation, and racialization.
