Launching GCJ Uganda – Meet Father Centurio

Oct 3, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Global Citizen Journey is planning a delegation to Uganda, ‘the pearl of East Africa,’ in 2020-21. We will partner with Father Centurio and UMOP (Uganda Martyr’s Orphanage Project).

We are delighted that Father Centurio is visiting Seattle this month! He is a delightful and dynamic priest who is head of Justice and Peace Department for the Archdiocese of Tororo, manages the church land for 30% of Uganda, and has an MA in Good Governance and Human Rights. Come meet this great humanitarian.

And consider joining us for this Journey! We will join 15 North Americans with 15 Ugandans to live, eat and dialogue with one another while we engage with the 1600 students at UMOP as well as support a community health clinic that cares for UMOP students as well as community members. We are also exploring making a connection with Abayudaya Ugandan Jews and plan to arrange an optional post delegation safari.

Join us for a fascinating evening – to meet Father, learn about Uganda, and hear about our unfolding delegation plans. Doors open at 6:45.
