Oliver Morton: Geoengineering A Way Out of Global Warming
Jan 25, 2016 @ 7:30 pm
Many are turning to Geoengineering as a solution to our warming planet, but for these University of Washington researchers, it might not be enough. The Planet Remade takes into account the opponents of this still-developing science, but, in the end, makes the case for why geoengineering is beneficial. Using current global examples, expert science writer Oliver Morton (Mapping Mars, Eating the Sun) will explore the promise and pitfalls of what some say is a still a shaky science. According to Morton, briefings editor of the Economist, global warming is a solvable crisis; a problem that was created by humans and can also be reversed by us. He’ll explain how to do it.
