Seattle CARRY5 Walk for Water 2016

May 15, 2016 @ 1:00 pm

Join as we carry water for 5 kilometers in solidarity with the 1 billion people around the world who still carry water every day. Together, we can reach our goals and provide communities in Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Honduras with clean water at the turn of a tap.

Around the world…

200 million women and children spend up to 5 hours a day walking for water.

5 million girls cannot go to school because they are carrying water.

5,000 children die from preventable, water-related diseases every day.

WALK: On May 15th, people of all ages will carry up to 5 gallons of water for 5 kilometers around Seattle Center. Carry as much water as you’re able, or just join us for the walk.

FORM A TEAM: Rally your family and friends – from your school, workplace, scout troop, sports team, place of worship – to walk with you.

RAISE FUNDS: Help the world’s poorest with their greatest need. Every $75 you raise provides a child with clean water and a toilet FOR LIFE. To help us reach our fundraising goals, each walker is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100. If you or your team raise $5,000 or more, you can have a personalized plaque at a community water projet

Join us to help end the walk for water!
